Our Puppy Reservation & Waitlist Process
At Color Me Crazy Chihuahuas, we want every puppy to go to the right family, and every family to understand our process from beginning.
Joining Our Waitlist
To be placed on our puppy waitlist, their is a $150.00 waitlist fee. This fee secures your place on the waitlist and shows your commitment to being considered for one of our upcoming puppies
Once you are on the waitlist, you will be contacted according to their place on the waitlist and the puppies available at that time.
Puppy Selection
Once puppies are born, we watch them closely as they grow. We evaluate their personalities, development, structure, and individual traits so we can help make the best possible match between each puppy and their forever family.
Because puppies develop and change as they grow, joining the waitlist does not guarantee a specific color, sex, coat type, size, or individual puppy.
When it is time for puppy selections, families on the waitlist will be contacted in order. Once you select a puppy, the required puppy deposit will be due to officially reserve that puppy.

My puppies are raised in my home, surrounded by love, care and socialization. I take the placement of every puppy very seriously.
My goal is not simply to sell a puppy – it is to help each puppy find the right forever family and to make sure every family understands the process from the beginning.

What is included in the purchase of my puppy?
Our puppies receive all age appropriate:
*Vaccinations and Deworming’s
*Flea/Tick and 1st Heartworm Preventative.
*A full examination by our veterinarian.
*Detailed health records
*AKC Registration paperwork if applicable, (customers responsibliblity is to pay fees to register their pup with AKC)
*Lifetime Breeder support.
*1 Yr. Health Guarantee
*Puppy Pack which includes: Toys, wet & dry food, washable pee pad, hand crocheted bed & blanket
We love our Chihuahuas and want the best possible life for them; therefore, we offer everything we can to ensure a healthy, happy puppy.
After we approve your Application…
*DEPOSITS*
Deposits are accepted after the puppy on the available page is approximately 2 weeks old. The $500 non-refundable deposit is to be sent to us using one of our online payment options. The puppy will NOT be held without a deposit. This deposit is non-refundable unless there is an issue with the health of your puppy. In that case, the buyer has the option of transferring it to another puppy. This deposit will hold your puppy until it is old enough to go to its new home, usually at 9-10 weeks, depending on the weight of the puppy and how easily it is weaned from momma. Please be ready to bring your baby puppy into your home by 10 weeks old. We will not, under any circumstances, let the puppy leave before it is ready. Adoption fees are subject to change until that puppy has a deposit.

*PHOTOS AND VIDEOS*
We are always happy to share your baby’s milestones. We will take new photos & videos of your little baby every week on Sundays. If we have an emergency or something of this nature, we will get updates to you as soon as we are able. Please understand that we are very busy with your baby puppy and our Chihuahuas, and need to keep to our Picture Day Schedule to ensure everyone receives their updates. Due to the health of our puppies and security issues, we do not allow visitors to our home until puppies are 8 weeks old. Our Chihuahuas and our family live in our home. All of our puppies are examined by our Veterinarian at approximately 8 weeks old. Our puppies receive at least one vaccination and will be dewormed every two weeks. Your baby will receive Advantage Multi for heart worm prevention & Strongid or Panacur treatment for external and internal parasites if old enough.
*PICKUP or Upon leaving us*
At pickup, you will be given a Puppy Pack with health records, my puppy healthcare information papers, AKC Limited or Full Rights Registration papers (AKC Registration fees to registar your pup is your resposibility), and food samples of the ProPlan puppy dry, a can of wet food they are eating, washable pee pad, toys, hand made blanket or pet ped, you will received a year health guarentee. Any adult weight mentioned is only an estimate based on the puppy’s current weight. We use the Chihuahua weight chart and estimate to the best of our ability; however, a breeder cannot provide the exact adult weight regardless of the parents’ weight. The estimate from the Chihuahua charts is a close approximation of your baby’s actual adult weight. If you plan on picking up your puppy in person, the pickup location will be in Dime Box, Texas, I can met in Bastrop, Temple or Waco as well if need be. If picking up your puppy in person, the balance due (Adoption Fee minus the deposit) will be required 1 week before pick up. If you adopt your puppy through the Good Dog website, all payments, including deposits, must be made through the Good Dog Payment Platform. Note that Good Dog does charge some fees that do not involve our Adoption fee, and you can choose not to pay extra fees there. If you plan to ship your baby via Flight Nanny or another approved transport method, ALL shipping fees will be at the buyer’s expense.
